Can powerfailures kill the PS2?.... coz i live in a very remote place on earth and this area gets powerfailures once in a while like 5 times a week. So if powerfails while i am playing a game on PS2.... can it corrupt or break anything in the PS2? ( just like powerfailures on COMPS can kill the HDD ). Do i need to use a UPS ( uninterupted power supply )?.

    help!

i get power failures pretty often, so I keep all my electronics on a surge protector. you can even find surge protectors that are insured!

UPS might save a paused game tho... if you're the type to pause and leave on.
