I recently bought Banner of the Stars DVD collection. It's an anime. For some reason, 6 of the episodes were not linked in the menu on one of the DVDs. The VOB files are there. They're just not linked. How do I watch those episodes with the subtitles? No setup and no option for subtitle with right click. Please help!

Not much info to go on to help ya, friend.
Assuming you are watching it on PC ...what software are you using?

If you have PowerDvd you can load the VOB files individually and use the menu options to turn on subtitles.

    Hope this helps.

Silly question, but are you "sure" they have subtitles?
If so open the entire disk in powerdvd and go to the subtitles menu and enable them.

Sorry. Let me explain a little further.

There are a total of 9 episodes on this DVD. 3 of the episodes are linked to the menu when you play the DVD. It just seemed like this menu is actually supposed to be a sub menu and they just forgot to make a top menu. When I play the 3 episodes normally I can turn on subtitles. When I play any of the files individually with out using the menu, I cant get subtitles, even on the 3 that are linked in the menu.

Lyric, I presume that the file is on your HD. If so could you please tell me if you are playing the movie from the main folder or are you opening the main folder and then choosing a file within it.

The files are on a copyrighted DVD I bought. It's a defective product I would presume. It has all the movies on it just some of them are not on the menu.

So you are actually playing the movie from the DVD itself. I was thinking if you were playing from HD that it could just be something as simple as how you are opening the file. Happened to me once. I was opening the files inside the folder instead of opening the folder itself.
