hey all, new to the forums, and i was just wondering, i've got a dell laptop (inspiron 5100)with a motherboard that's f'ed. i've also got 2 pc's that need to be upgraded. now, i think i'd rather have a laptop, so i'm wondering if anyone knows if you can upgrade dell motherboards, or if i should give up on the idea. thanks!

He means upgrade to a better motherboard, I think. I don't think you can do it with a laptop.

the only way that would happen is to get a newer board that looks almost identical to your old 1 especially the screw holes & various connectors.
