"Cannot find C:/windows/web/desktop.html". This is a message that appears when I turn on my computer. For sometime now, I have not been able to view my background picture, it is just a white screen. All of my icons are visible but the picture is not. I have windows XP home edition version 2002 with service pack 2.
Sounds like a virus some software bundled in with other software and when you removed the software it left behind crap??? have you installed anything new or taken anything off lately???
The only thing that has changed recently, was getting Qwest DSL service. I have not been able to view my background picture for probably a year now, but the error message just started popping up. I thought about reinstalling windows, but don't want to lose everything on my hard drive. Was hoping for some type of fix.
