I am having problems with some Fuji DVD+RW discs. My computer will not recognize that any media is present. One was after a normal burn with Recordnow Max, another after an aborted burn with Nero. I cannot get my computer to recognize that there is a disc in the drive in order to erase the disc. Is this a disc problem, a software problem, or a DVD writer problem? I have an NEC(Dell) 1100 drive.
I have also had problems with recognizing DVD+R discs too, but after ejecting/re-inserting the discs several times, I eventually get the computer to recognize that the disc is present, and the media then burns fine.
    Any thoughts?

I have the 10GE firmware, which I think is latest. Am I mistaken?
