Hi. First edit out your Nero serial number beginning 1A... at the beginning of your post. Click the paper/pencil icon at the upper right of the post to enter edit mode. Try updating your burner firmware to version 1.24 here: ftp://dlsvr01.asus.com/pub/ASUS/ODD/DVD-RW/DRW-1608P3S/DRW-1608P3S_FW124EU.ZIP You're using an older version of Nero. Uninstall your current version and then run the Nero 6 Clean Tool: http://ww2.nero.com/nero6/enu/Nero_6_CleanTool.html Then download and install the following two Nero 6.6.0.18 packages: Package 1: http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe Package 2: http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe Let us know if this solves your problem.
i'm not follow your advice yet.but i tried to write data DVD again with the same old files with difference CD's brand.now i change to use DVD-RW instead of DVD+R(which is failed).the result is it can write completely.and then i tried to write it to other DVD disc(which is in the same pack of the first failed disc) it still failed. Surely that the problem should be DVD-disc quaility(i thought). However, thank u so much with your help. i received your help very fast after i posted my problem here. ^.^
The disks that failed to write are Verbatims and are of the highest quality. I think your firmware is pretty out of date and that's causing the problem with those disks. Are they 16X disks?
