If you use the latest version of DVD decrypter you will be able to use this to rip the movie, and then use DVD Shrink to re-author it.
Also AnyDVD version 4.1 or higher will also help you in conjunction with DVD Shrink.

    Hi there,

I have never used the Re-Author option in DVDShrink.

I always use Whole Disk Backup.

What is the big difference between those 2 modes ?

Is the end result (Quality etc.. the same ?)

I don't mind having the extras and all languages.

Make sure you have Decrypter version 3.5.2.0 the Re-author mode in Shrink will give you the main movie only(no menus). This allows you to use the least amount of compression.I do all my back up's as movie only but that's my preference.Too much compression can affect picture quality. You just have to experiment till you find what you like.Whatever works best for you!
