Hi everyone, newbie here. I'm having problems with my burner, a Sony DRU 530A. I can watch dvds using this burner. I can rip dvs onto my hard drive using this burner. But I can't burn onto blank dvds. I've tried burning with Nero and Sonic (bundled with Sony) and both won't let me burn onto blank dvds. I've tried using now three different types of media. Sony dvd+r 4x, memorex dvd-r 8x, and verbatim dvd+r 8x. I decided that maybe Nero and Sonic software aren't working for me So I just installed DVD Decryptor. Now here is where the problem begins again. I can rip a movie onto my hard drive but I can't burn to a blank disk. I've tried reading and rereading steps on how to rip and burn using dvd decryptor but i think i'm doing something wrong. After I rip using Shrink, Decrypter launches but it doesn't let me burn. It reads that the brand new blank dvdr I have in the drive is not empty. Any advice anyone? I'd be happy to post a log if someone can tell me how to save the log. thanks rafael
