Can't find any cdrom/dvdrom device"

    hello windvd 4 on my computer says "Can't find any cdrom/dvdrom device". what is this. also dvddycrypter in the source box says "no devices detected". they worked fine before and i do not know what happend. if somebody could help me that would be great.

    does the motherboard see the drives. reseat the power & data cables to both drives & motherboard. are both drives jumpered as master & slave not cable select? if both drives on same cable, disconnect 1 drive so other can be seen as possible 1 of drives might have crapped out

    actually my computer is Toshiba Satellite Pro 6100 notebook and this is what I get in General for the
    SCSI DVD-ROM SCSI CdRom Device:

    Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)
