readme says: 1.Extract the Half Life 2 folder anywhere you want. 2.Create a shortcut of the hl2.exe file. 3.Right click on shortcut and put -steam behind the last quotation mark. 4.Double click on the shortcut and have fun what is -steam? i have tried to change the shortcut target but it says: the name"c:\half life 2\hl2.exe" specified in the target box is not valid. make sure the path and file name are correct. please help. big HL fan.

is it possible to make a working copy of the half life 2 game i actually bought or will they ban my account?....cuz it's not illegal to backup the game u own right?
It depends on your perspective. In the sane world you have every right to back up your purchased media but the media companies quite the contrary so I wouldn't be all that surprised to see your account deactivated if using a copy.
