Hi, I can't get my xbox to connect to my pc. I've tried to connect using the internet explorer browser and flashfxp. The browser would always time out, and flashfxp would always disconnect. I am using a crossover cable to directly connect to the xbox. The way I configured my xbox was by going to settings, and from there I input the following settings: Xbox config: IP--------------------------192.168.0.1 Subnetmask-----------255.255.255.0 Default Gateway-----192.168.0.1 DNS----------------------192.168.0.1 (alternate)DNS----------------------192.168.0.1 On my computer this is what mine look like. IP address-------------192.168.0.2 Subnet mask----------255.255.255.0 What's wrong?
You want to go into the Site Manager on FlashFXP, and put in 192.168.0.1 for the Xbox IP. Also, you need to find the Username/Password for your Xbox. If you have a chip installed (like the Xecuter 3 CE) the username/password are usually x3/x3. You could also try xbox/xbox.
But I had manually set the settings. So the IP address should be 192.168.0.1 because I specifically typed it in. Isn't that right? No, xbox is softmodded. User/Password should be xbox/xbox from what I've read. Am I suppose to put in a game disc? I was trying to connect while in the xbox main menu. I don't know why it won't connect! I mean, the network settings shows that I'm connected, and I even pinged my xbox IP! 100% connection was reported, and yet I get timeouts and stuff! WTF.
Try not Manually setting the IP address. Instead let it Automatically find the IP. See if that works.
