Can't get Nero to burn DVD's - please help!

I can't get Nero Vision Express 3 to burn my movie's when they have chapters in them. If I take out all of the chapters and just have one long movie, it will burn just fine. Also, it fails during the analysing phase, before the burning process starts.

Anyone know why?

 

What exact version of Nero are you using. Recommended versions are Nero 6.6.0.18 and 7.5.9.0.

I'll start off by stating that Nerovision sucks in all its incarnations.

There are other commercial programs that do a better job imo. Nero tries to do everything instead of a few things very well.

You might try upgrading to 6.6.0.18 and see if that helps. Be sure to write down your serial number first before uninstalling. Then run the Nero 6 Clean Tool and the Driver Clean Tool before downloading and installing the new version.

Sometimes it works better to create an img file with the image recorder or a folder of video files in the first step and then burn either in the second step.

You can always take the converted video files and make a menu/chapter markers in fancier authoring programs like Nerovision, TMPGEnc DVD Author, or another program.
