I hope someone can help me, I have tested with dvd decrypter to rip an original dvd (not a burnt copy) of pilates of my partner's to my hdd. First I did it as an ISO file for it and powerdvd XP (OEM version not retail) couldn't play it. I then tried it with having the file as an IFO format and powerdvd XP could read it and play it.

I just don't understand why one works and yet the other won't.

Can someone please instruct me as to how this can be remedied?

    Thanks guys.

    Are you using PowerDVD 5?

    Hi Flip218,

No I am using powerdvd XP 4.0. I don't know, it just seems strange that it'll read and play .IFO files but not .ISO files. Do you know for sure why?

Don't quote me on it but I believe one of the new features of PDVD5 was the ability to open ISO files :)
