since i reinstalled my computer, it's not displaying dvd video anymore. i only get sound and a constantly black screen. these are store bought dvds, so it's something wrong with my reinstall. namely, i don't know what i need to do to my XP computer to make it work with discs properly.
i have the latest nvidia drivers working just fine otherwise on my video card. i have CCCP installed, not sure if that codec pack is exactly relevant for legitimate dvds. i just installed intervideo windvd 4, because that's what came with my 3 yr old computer. everything else is working fine, i'm not sure what i need to do. i'm not even sure what to type in to search, "can't play dvd" is hardly unique. can some one or several someones point me in the right direction? help

VLC works, but there's no hot key for fullscreen -I'm having mixed feelings about this program. Any others?
