capture video help

    I am running winxp.I have dvd decriptor and dvd shrink installed.I can hook my camcorder to my computer with a firewire.How do I use this captured video so I can make a dvd with the programs I have installed.If you have any suggestions I would appreciate them.

    What format is the video that you captured.
    Is it mpeg, avi,etc?

    When I click on new movie up comes 4 files

    vob dvd ifo vob
    video_ts vts_01 vts_01-1

    video_ts

    I highlighted each one and clicked add.

    DVD Shrink should be able to open the VIDEO_TS folder and load the files.
    Clicking 'Backup' should show a menu which includes burning the DVD with 'DVD Decrypter'.

    I guess I just wasted my money on this Roxio product??
