Capturing movies shown on PC's screen

    Hi,

    I know there are programs, like Camtasia Studio, which enable, to record (among others) videos displayed on the PC's screen.

    I would like to know whether the quality of so recorded videos are as good as the quality of the original videos.

    Further, I would like to know what are the best programs for such recordings.
