    Other information about my system:
was a v7 but now have a v5 main board in it because the old one fried.
Is the open face lazer style.
have made many backups of ps1 and ps2 titles and all worked fine on my ps2.
have never tried to make a backup before of a ps2 game that is cd based instead of dvd.
the game I am trying to backup is big mutha truckers for the ps2.
Acts like it is going to boot and screen turns black and disc just spins after trying any of the fallowing methods:
    cogswap, cdloaderv7all, and swapmagic cd

Memorex cdr's work fine for me and many other people.
My recommendation is to burn your discs at 4x if possible and no faster than 8x, this will give better results. And, remember that some games have problems playing with the swap magic discs.
