CD not recognized by my laptop..Help me please!!

    Hi all,

    I put a CD into my laptop (dell studio 1749)and it simply does not recognize it,with the result that I cannot eject it.I have tried the manual eject buttons (one is lit up and one is on keyboard) and I also tried right clicking "computer" and clicking eject.but nothing happens.The drive is just a slot...ie.no tray comes out for the disk.so please please can someone advise me what to do next as info on this seems scarce. TIA.........

    is there a little hole by the drive that a paperclip can fit into to eject the disk like on desktop drives?

    thanks for advice, yes there is and I got disk out all working fine again. Thanks
