    Manufacturer : CMC Magnetics

I keep reading here that CMC Magnetics disks bite pretty bad. I have an oritron DVD player and have gotten a batch of Memorex and TDK disks, both made by CMC and they simply will not play in this player, could that be the reason?

Sorry, it looks like some of you may have some good information, but it appears I left out some important information, we have a number of disks all burned with the same burner and burning software, Nero, burner is an hp cd 16f cd writer. All of wich worked. One of the main differences I realized between the disks I just bought and the older ones is the location I bought them. The ones that don’t work were bought at Wal-Mart, the ones that do work were bought at Best Buy. Don’t know if this has any bearing on the issue, but I think it might. I am providing a short list of the disks I have tested and which ones worked and which ones did not.
Other Disk that does not work in the Oritron DVD player.

Disks that work in Oritron DVD player.

Media types tested, .cda, .mp3, vcd, svcd – all worked in the player.
Hopes this fills in some of the blanks.

Those discs are not known of their high quality.

    1) Have you tried decreasing the write speed?
    2) Can you give some ATIPs on the discs that DO work.
