Use a program called Exact Audio Copy. It is the best mp3 ripper around. You can make VBR mp3's which are the best type of mp3. You can download the program from here
    http://www.exactaudiocopy.de
    or here
    http://cd-rw.org/software/audio_software/cd-da_extractors/exact_audio_copy.cfm
The latest version is V0.95 prebeta 5
Also use this guide to install, setup and configure the program.
    http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/mydeneaclame.cfm
and this will give you an idea what you need to type in the command line box

There is a problem with the .CFG files as the author has taken them offline. Use this thread to find out how to obtain them.

p.s. a sticky thread should be made as this question gets asked way too often.

Try turning the volume up on your mp3 player. If that dusnt work then make sure it isnt linked to an amp or a hifi system. Failing that then there might be a problem with your mp3 player.

does the mp3 play on your computer? If you still need the adapter, PM me your email address, I have all four of them. Also, please turn off the caps lock. its very annoying and against forum rules.

College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita. I think this might be my last semester teaching though, at least for now. I have had several offers to do sound design for a few independent films, so I may do that for a while.
