    Hi all,

Thanks for your patience with a newbie.

I tried to rip a DVD to DivX following the tutorial's instructions. When I had a short film of 1.5 hours everything worked well, so I know, that it can't be an error of mine.

    Now I tried get a riff-wav out of a 193 min WAV. CDex (I tried both 1.4 and 1.5!) doesn't work.

Are there alternative ways or any tricks to get started with CDex?

    Thanks K

hey there. I'm new at this and I also have the same problem as you. If there is anyone who knows a way around the CDex problem please share. such as another program that does the same job. or something. thanks.

    Hey,

I tried out DCex with different WAVs and found it working up to about 1.5 GB. To convert bigger WAVs, I use the "Isg Wave Squeezer" (find it at http://www.isg-software.de/down/). This small (and fast!) program can produce only 128 kBit MP3s, it's still enough (don't forget this using the DVtool!). This MP3 is smal enough to convert it to RIFF-WAV using CDex.

If anyone finds better possibilities, please post here!

    Greetz, Kronion
