Changing booktype

    I have a HL-DT-ST that will burn DL DVD's. However it will not allow me to change the booktype. Can I solve this problem by using a different firmware?

    my burner is HL-DT-ST GSA-E10N JE07(latest firmware)I use ImgBurn to burn, theres a small "book" icon in bottom right hand corner click on this icon and select LG and this allows you to set burner to booktype to DVD-ROM,I'm no expert but i never had any burning problems using ImgBurn, hope this helps, Happy Burning
