    Troops:

This is my first contact with AfterDawn. Looks like a good group.

I just installed VLC v0.8.6d and tried it on a MKV file. It worked just fine. I then opened an avi file and the audio played back was Italian. I played this avi file using another decoder and the audio was in English.

    My question is :
How does one change the language in the VLC decoder

Go to Audio->Audio Tracks and try to find your language.

I appreciate your suggestion to go to Audi->Audio Tracks and I think I went to that area but I could not find my thread.
I could not find a way to go to Audio Tracks from Audio.
I went to the Search biox and tyoped in Audio Tracks. It took me to a page labeled Audio Tracks but my thread was not i=there.

Do you have any more specific path instructions?

No,No...It looks like you were browsing through some folders o your PC.
    Open VLC player.Load the movie.
[IMG] After you load the movie, go to Audio( next to Settings and Video, on you VLC player, at the top). In audio, try changing Tracks/Channels. To get to Audio settings, you can also right click on the video while playing.
