I am backing up a DVD onto my computer. I have compressed the files and what I want is this. Is there a way for me too keep the Main screen of the DVD where it will allow me too go too different chapters, and have 5 in 1 surround sound without being too big for a DVD+R? I have looked at many of your guides and have tryed many of them, but I would like too have the chapter selections in my movie and I would like it from the original DVD. Is this possible or not?

Try the reauthor function of Shrink or Nero. It allows you to control what to compress, keep, or delete to fit a disk.

In Shrink under full backup you need to insert still images for all your unwanted material,if you use reauther mode your menus will not be left intact.

    To insert a still image:
Highlight the file in the left plane you wish to insert an image for and on the right plane where it says (automatic) click the arrow and select (insert still image)
Do this for all the flies in the left plane you want to replace. The still image will replace the video giving you the least amount of compression while keeping the Menus functional for chapter selection only.

It can open a disk or disk image, your choice.

Shrink can read from the dvd,.iso or video_ts.

    From dvd click open disc
    From video_ts click open files
For .iso click on file at the top of the page then click open disc image.
