I know that the Wii's are very picky to what kind of media is being used but I'm using some really really cheap DVD-R's. The ones that don't even have a name, it's just some generic DVD-R stuff.

I'm wondering, will using these DVDs have any negative effect to the Wii's laser in the long run? I relly hope it won't.

BTW, a lot of my DVD's are also Verbatim's and Sony Accucore stuff (but these were given to me, as of now I only have the cheap DVD-R's) so, I'm using all sorts of media.

    If it works: carry on
If it doesn't: buy better stuff
    SIMPLE.

I have personally found though any cheap crap seems to work for me.

Well, Walgreens has some generic DVD-R at very cheap price, and when I put them in, Image Burn said they were Ritek. They worked fine, but I am now using Verbatims 16x.
