CloneDVD2 and AnyDVD Key file help.

i was just wondering, i just purchased CloneDVD and AnyDVD and was wondering about the key file that is used to activate the software. I was asked when purchasing to input my 3-digit security code of my credit card, and fill out all of my credit card information. I was wondering if any of this information is used to generate the dynamic key file?

I notcied that after installing the key that my named showed up in the about part of each program, does anyone know if they use your credit card number/ security code at all for generating the key, or is it just your name??

thanks, i guess im just a bit paranoid but i read on another site that sometimes they store credit information (including the 3- digit Visa security codes) in key files, thanks in advance

there is no way you need to use your name and Credit card number.
When they created the software, they created a program that will create special serial numbers.
or they could have developed a Keygen, which is acctually an encryption of data which is already is known.
for example:
the keygen will generate a special combination of charecters for each word you will type in, and when you will type your name the keygen will generate a combination that will be th encryption of your name, and no other combination will fit your name ecxept that one.

Because of that there is no way you will use your credit card number to register the program, couse they will have to run it in their keygen and send you the digest of the keygen so oyu could register.

Big compnies like the ones you bought the programs from won't take your cresitcard number and use it for anything at all. they would not want to risk there reputation if someone will put his hands on your Creditcard #, while they can use any other phrase, or word that could generate a password for you.

abd defenetly you cant put your name and Creditcard # as the registration inforamtion to activate the software, couse they would have to have your information prior to selling the software so in it's database they would have your name and credit card #.

They would have to be powerful as god to predict evryone's Creitcard numbers and name prior to ......
