My Problem with this purchase, is that I dont
know if dvd9 burners can be bought in lets say 2-3 years, making this buy pretty much pointless. Is the move to dvd9 dvd-r's and burners inevitable, or will it probably never happen, because the industry wont allow it? Any hardware pros know something?
    Thanks in advance.

I am not a hardware Pro but believe me when I say that any burner bought at a reasonable price will pay for itself over and over again, if used well.
    :)
Incidentally I have an A04 and it works a dream, the only thing I think you will see any time soon is a faster burner not a more capable burner(9gigs on one disc)

Agree with joshua. Just about everything you buy with computers become 'pointless' after 2-3 years. Might as well buy it and enjoy the moment!!
