    Hi guys,
I've got a modded PS2 but was trying to create on the mem card of a friend of mine the cogswap loader, I've do that following this procedure found on the web..

Step 1: Create a new directory somewhere and copy the following files into it:
    BOOT.ELF from the cogswap files
    mcloader.elf from the mcloader files
    SYSTEM.CNF from the mcloader files
    unrar.irx from the mcloader files
Step 2: Get the titleman program from here: http://supa.0xd6.org/exploitguide/titleman-win32.zip
Step 3: You need to add the PSX disc you wish to boot cogswap with into a TITLES.DB
To do this, first look in the system.cnf of the psx disc to find out
    what file it runs.

Now, go to where you put the titleman executable and type:
    titleman -c
    *this will create the TITLES.DB
    Now type:
    titleman -a SLUS_000.00
*where SLUS_000.00 is the file specified in the psx system.cnf file
Step 4: copy your new TITLE.DB into the directory you created with the other files
Step 5: Create a new text file named mcupload.txt in the directory you have the files in
and then you must copy this into that file and save:

    {}

Step 6: Run CDGEN-PS2, drag and drop all the files from that directory into it
and save yourself a bin/cue, burn it and boot it with ur swap discs/mod
Step 7: In the MCLoader program, hit Memory Card Manager and choose Install Files
    using CDROM
now go back and choose Menu Exploit, and now choose Move TITLE.DB and
    Move BOOT.BIN
Step 8: Hit Test Exploit and cogswap should boot, now reset with your designated
    psx disc in and enjoy.

After all this work I was not able to let my modded PS2 load the CD for memory card installation (my PS2 works fine with RealityMediaplayer) so have some doubts:
1.Is that true that for MC installation on the CD have to be burned ONLY the files in this tutorial?
2.I was so jerk to do all the titleman thing with a PS2 game (we7), is it normal that the CD is not recognized by PS2?
3.Have I to use in any way the files concerning FIFA demo folder on the CD'

Any support will be really appreciated, sorry but searching the forum for some info I'm more confused then before, thats why I opened this post.

    TIA

    1. I dont know if the other files from the cogswaploader download are necessary, but they aren't exactly HUGE now are they, so you may as well include them (remembering to JUST include the files that ARE NOT in FOLDERS, cos you can't use folders with the exploit, it can't do folders on your mem card).

2.You can't use a PS2 game in title.db. The exploit will ONLY work with an original PSX game (PSX as in Playstation 1).

3.The FIFADEMO stuff is never "necessary", it's just there to allow those people using their otiginal demo disk to boot things like this, and the media player, etc.

So I'd reccommend re-doing your CD with all the files that aren't in directories, and using a PSX game in title.db

    hope that helps

those seem to be the right files, except my install cd didn't have these two files

    09/25/2003 01:22p 0 go.txt
    09/05/2003 12:35a 1,923 instrucciones.txt

and it also had a file called ito.h (and system.cnf, though i don't think that's needed in the FILES directory, but i kept it anyways).

So try just putting your files into the FILES directory, and using a PSX cd in title.db, then it should work.

I'm not sure if ALL these files are needed, but like i say, they're not HUGE, so you may as well include them all.

The 2 files that you dont have are only spanish instructions, I checked for the ito.h file, in the CogswapLoader archive that I downloaded there are also 2 dirs: IOP and TINYITO in the TINYITO dir I got 28 files and in those files ther is also ito.h

I will try to burn the CD with in the root also the content of these 2 dirs.. I wish I could get any result, I'm going crazy about that!

    Tnx

wierd de ja vu going on now....."what is cogswaploader", and then you say....but, you already know what i'm going to tell you.....

cogswaploader is a program like cdloader, except that it doesn't need folders, like cdloader does, so it can be used with the memory card exploit, so you can boot backups using just your mem card and a PSX game.
