comb like video

    I use smartripper, dvd2avi and tmpgenc to rip dvd to vcd.

    I am getting comb like video - why this is happening and whats the resolution.

    What you are seeing are Interlace artifacts...If when you are Makeing the D2V file with DVD2AVI you go to "Video" to "Field operation" and set it to "Forced Film" and then make the D2v File and then encode the D2V file to VCD useing the "NTSC Film" Template then you will not have this problem....The Resolution of a NTSC VCD is 352+240 which is 1/4 the Resolution of DVD and 1/4 the Quality at best...Cheers
