Does anyone know of a set of tools that I can work thru the command line to automate the ripping, re-encoding and authoring of a DVD9 movie to get the end result of a DVD5 on a single CD?

My hope was to end up with a single batch file that would work for most DVDs. Instead of downloading and trying out every program I though someone here might have some suggestions.

    Thanks

The closest I have seen is an app called dvd2dvd-r. It is basically a shell app that will run all the smaller apps for you and allow you to set all the settings in the beggining and when the app is complete you have a set of vobs ready to burn to dvd.
