I have purchased a 100 pk of CompUSA Brand DVD-R's with 4X max Write speed. Everytime I attemp to burn one of these discs I end up with a coaster. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem. It seems to always fail when writing the Lead-out. Doesn't matter if I use Roxio or Nero.

It could be argued that AN31 is one of, if not the, worst media on the market so it's no wonder that you're getting failed burns.

Unless you can return them to CompUSA you're stuck with the rest of them so my advice would be to update to the latest firmware for your Lite-On, burn no faster than than 2X and get some good RiDATA the next time around :)

Good deal. At the very least you're not stuck with them and all the wiser for it :)
