Currently there are more and more flashcarts can work on the latest 3ds V6.1.0-11U, below is the latest compatibility list, if you plan to buy a flashcart for your 3ds console. make sure you buy one of them. Another, make sure the card you buy will be preflashed to support the latest 3ds firmware out of box, so you don't need to update it by yourself when you receive it. r4isdhc silver rts 3ds can work well on 3ds v6.1.0-11 as well, i think later more an more cards will join the compatiblity list.
r4i sdhc dual core，r4i silver card and r4i gold pro seems the same company, so the patch release at same time.
It looks like there are a few cards now that do support it. From what I am reading, some of the r4 makers had to actually release new cards, while the r4i gold itself on some versions required a PCB cut of a trace. They said their new card doesn't need that any more, but I guess it's still a new card purchase in any event.
