    Dear people,

I'am an new newbie because i've bought an hp dvd200i writer last week. I thought that i could copy dvd disc one to one on an dvd-r disc. I have come to the wonderful news that it's not possible to do this when the files are above 4.7 gb.

    My question:
Can I compress dvd vob files to compressed vob files and not mpeg2 or vcd files.
If anyone kwons how to fix this please answer this.

    Greets.....

    No,

You MUST extract the video stream first.

    You can't "compress" the VOBs.
