I would not say that I am new to backing up DVD but this is the first major problem for me. I have used DVD Decrypter DVD Shrink, Ripit4me, and pgcedit for backing up several of my DVD’s. I just bought the DVD "Man of the Year"
and it is too large to put on a standard DVD. What software should I use to compress the DVD? The movie file alone is over 6gb

I have the following software and I can’t get it to work on
    Man of the year

    DVD Decrypter
    DVD Shrink
    Ripit4me
    pgcedit
    ReMPEG2
    DVDRCalc
    IfoEdit
    DVD2AVI
    VOBrator
    Smartripper

If their is a better guide or software for compression let me know.

    Thanks

dvd shrink should work, and if it doesn't and you get an error,
then simply run the ripped folder thru FixVTS or VobBlanker(before using shrink), then use the output folder of either of those programs(FixVTS or VOBB) and you should not have a problem with shrink.

VOBB link is in my sig

DVDFab Decrypter works well. I myself used it for that particular movie. Also,if you don't care about menus and extras and stuff like that, DVDFab allows you to do movie only which will produce a higher quality video output on the disc.
