computer screen scrolls too slow

    On my new computer, my computer screen scrolls too slow. For instance, say i am on a website that doesn't fit on one screen. I have to scroll down. However, when i scroll down, there appears to be a horizontal line that appears, not some new line, but just a line where the part of the website smushes together. This causes the scrolling to be very slow. This occurs in firefox, IE, and even in normal Windows windows such as the windows folder or program files folder. Any ideas as to why this happens.

    This is probably a malware infection. Can you give a Hijacakthis log?

    Your drivers for the video card are not working. You just need to install new drivers. BTW don;t forget to uninstall the old ones.

    Well since he allready posted, a log I guess I can help him clean that up too...

    Actully, the log you posted is cut off, can you post the full log please?

    I am pretty sure that it's his drivers since problems like that happened to my computer whenever I re-installed windows. They went away after I installed the drivers, but I may be wrong so he still might need help on the screen issue.

    I updated the drivers. I got drivers for my video card and for my monitor. But I still have the same issue with the slow scrolling. As for my log, here it is, but it appears to be the same size as the other one i posted. I am posting the entire log that is shown.

    I had just downloaded the new ad-aware 2007. I went to the computers startup list and unchecked a component of adaware that is always on. I restarted my computer and now the scroll problem is no longer. I don't remember if i did or did not restart the computer after i finished installing the new drivers. I doubt that it is because of the ad-aware component, but probably because i forgot to restart the computer.

    Yeah, the drivers don't work till you restart.
