My computer would only stay on for a few minutes and then shut down. I decided to do a fresh install of XP. It ran thru the first stages and then went thru its shut down. When the next screen came up saying 39 minutes remaining for installation, it lasted until it got down to 34 minutes. It shuts down at 34 minutes everytime I try to install XP. While I was doing something the other day, trying to get it to stop shutting down, I received some type of hal.dll error. I've read many repairs for this, but can't do any of them because I can't get into windows. Can anyone help me??

read your motherboard manual or user guide on how to do that.
