The subject pretty much says it. After I burn a DVD, my computer slows down something awful; opening explorer, outlook, or anything, takes a real 2 minutes. It's always done this since I've had the burner (3 months), but I'm assuming this isn't normal. I recently reinstalled my OS, and it's still the same. I have no spyware or any other nonsense, and task manager shows no processes or otherwise that would be hogging system resources...system idle is 98. Here's the specs:
    512 ram
    180 gb hd
    P III
    Sony DRU-530a with firmware upgrade
    Clone DVD2/Decrypter/Shrink/etc.
    Taiyo Yuden 4x media

    Any thoughts are appreciated.
