Whats SD reader? and Whats the difference between the m3 simply and the m3 lite perfect, besides that one goes in slot 1 and the other in slot 2? I really dont get the whole concept of buying two cartridges for my ds instead of one

    SD Reader:
USB device that allows to connect SD storage cards to your computer, thus allowing you to transfer files across to it.

    Slot-1 Devices (e.g. M3 DS Simply)
Goes in the top slot of the DS, can run NDS games without patching, can run NDS homebrew.

    Slot-2 Devices (e.g M3 Lite Perfect)
Goes in bottom (GBA) slot ofthe DS, can run NDS games once patched, can run NDS homebrew, can also run GBA games (both patched and unpatched) and GBA homebrew. Requires either a Pass device (e.g Passcard3) a slot-1 device (e.g M3 DS Simply) or a firmwrae replacement (e.g. FlashMe) to be able to load NDS games and Homebrew.

    Cheapskate Slot-2 Devices (e.g. M3 Lite Professional)
Goes in bottom (GBA) slot ofthe DS, can run NDS games once patched, can run NDS homebrew. Requires either a Pass device (e.g Passcard3) a slot-1 device (e.g M3 DS Simply) or a firmwrae replacement (e.g. FlashMe) to be able to load NDS games and Homebrew.
Can only run GBA games/homebrew under 4MB in size.

Do you know where I can get an M3 simply with a flash card for a good deal?

Also is there anything that will play both gba and ds that go in slot 1?

There is not a slot 1 device that will play both. As I said before in order to play GBA ROMS you will need a Slot2 device.

But I did add a link to an R4DS and 1 GB MicroSD card (which is just as good as M3 Simply) for $43.99 with free shiping.

If you want to play GBA ROMS then yes you will need a Slot2 Device.

    M3 simply(R4DS) will play NDS ROMS/MULTIMEDIA/EMULATERS/SOME HOMEBREW

But it will not play GBA ROMS.

To play those you will need a Slot2 Device (M3 lite)

To play both NDS and GBA you will need to do 1 of the below...

    M3 Simply(or R4DS) + M3 Lite

    or

    M3 lite + Passcard 3

This is all covered above by mr_hanky.

The main difference between using an M3 Simply(R4DS) or the M3 Lite option is the NDS ROMS need to be patched in order to play them with the M3 Lite. Where the M3 Simply(R4DS) you do not need to patch the NDS ROMS.

But no matter what if using the M3 Lite you will need either a M3 Simply(R4DS) or a Passcard 3 to play NDS ROMS.

The M3 Simply and R4DS where made for DS owners that manly want to play just their NDS ROMS.

But since the Supercard 3 technology is built into the M3 Simply(R4DS) it acts as a Supercard 3 as well.

I would assume the cheaper way to go is M3 Lite + Passcard 3 if you want to play both NDS ROMS and GBA ROMS.

Thats if a Passkey 3 is cheaper then an M3 Simply or R4DS.

Below is a link that includes...

This Kit includes an M3 Lite, Passcard 3, 1 GB MicroSD card, and a MicroSD reader!

    Price is $109.99

I got my R4DS from here plus a few Wii Modchips. Their 2 day air shiping is cheap and I always have got my stuff the next day (Not 2 days) after ordering it.

Also correct me if i'm wrong, I believe you can't play wifi games with the slot-2, so if you want to play wifi, i recommended to buy the slot-1. Also if you want to play GBA, just purchased 3 in 1 expansion pak. use the slot-1 device, with the expansion pak, will allow you to play wifi,GBA games, and it support rumble. it might cost a bit extra 10 or 5 bucks.
