I can see that the 812 does not come with a phono connection. I am wondering if anybody can tell me how to take care of this issue. How I go about connect the turntable, and if I need something to boost the signal.
    Thank you

    You require a Phono Preamplifier.
It has long been the only difference between the phono input, and all the other line-level inputs on the back of a receiver.
Naturally, since it seems they have recently deleted the phono input to save cost, you have a turntable you wish to hook up.
It would seem that this receiver doesn't do that, and so it's an unfortunate choice.
You can get an inexpensive Phono Preamp at Radio Shack or equivalent :)
    Regards
