connecting decices via component cables to a tv

    ok i have a philips tv which is not HD. but it does have a component input.i am thinking of buying an xbox 360 and i read somewhere that using component cables will makes graphics a bit better.is this true even though my tv is not hd??i absolutly have no knowledge about all this hd and component thing.apart from all the tuning channels, i have AV1,AV2 and fromt av but no component channel does this mean the component port is fake.plz reply.if u dont understand anything just say and i will clarify.thnx in advance

    if ur tv and xbox were hd u would use a hdmi lead, but as yours is not component is fine yellow/white/red plug connections
