connecting hifi/dvd speakers to pc

    Bascially I took off my speakers from my dvd player and want to know how I can connect them to my pc ive tried RCA but I get low sound.

    Most computers use speakers with amplifiers built into them.My guess is that your computer can not put out enough power to drive the new speakers.Good luck.

    undine is correct. Computers out put tiny amounts of power compared to what is needed to run speakers. You will need an amplifier.

    Yes you will need an amp, or you could connect your speakers to a stereo deck, if you have one, and then connect your speakers to the stereo deck. You would get the same effect.
