are you using a router or are you using the cat5(ethernet) cable that came with your modem?

cause if you're using a regular cable it won't work. it has to be a crossover cable. you can get one at your local radio shack or similar electronics retailer

if you have a router you don't need a crossover cable
the source always has good prices on them tho

can your ps2 play burnt dics?

    1. grab the ulaunchelf cd or dvd from http://sksapps.com/index.php?page=launchers.html and pop it in and it'll load up.

    2. you can configure your ps2 settings to match your subnet mask and gateway (from the configuration screen) but make sure your ip address is different than any other devices on the router.

    3. save the config.

    4. restart your ps2 with the disc in

    5. enter filebrowser and goto misc

    6. click on ps2net and it will connect to the router.

    7. you will be able to use flashfxp to login to your ps2. make sure you have passive connection turned off or it disconnects all the time.

    8. you can't transfer games this way. if you want to do that then i would suggest hooking your hdd back up to the computer and using winhiip

    wow that's long.
