connection help

whin i open (xplorer360)and try to connect to my harddrive is gives me a error message (could not find a FATX drive to open!) can some one help me

 

Your drive may still be locked. Unlock it.

 

how do unlock it do i us the xboxhdm program

 

You can use xboxhdm but not every pc can detect a lock hard drive, mine cant. I can create drives, but after I lock them i cant unlock. It depends on your pc.

are you trying to build or format & build a hard drive in your PC or just access the one in the Xbox?

If you want to build one then most people use xboxhdm, but you must get your EEPROM file off of your xbox using FTP first in order to build a new drive or format and rebuild your current drive.
If you do not have the EEPROM file and are rebuilding a drive you need to use the hotswap method.

If you want to access the drive in your Xbox to transfer files and such then setting up an FTP connection and using an FTP program like FlashFXP,CuteFTP, WS-FTP Pro is what you want.
