i'm no networking expert but i've found that you enter the ip of you network card in the "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties" IP box, your xbox's ip in the default gateway, and leave the subnet mask alone. i have kept my xbox's ip and its gateway the same to avoid confusion so try that. Here's my settings:

    PC Internet Protocol Properties:
    IP: 192.168.0.3
    Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
    Default Gateway: 192.168.0.91

    Xbox:
    IP: 192.168.0.91
    Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
    Default Gateway: 192.168.0.91
