    hi

    i used the excellent guide "DVD to VCD with SmartRipper, DVD2AVI and TMPGEnc" and everything seemed to work flawlessly, however when i play back the *.mpg file a constant buzz can be heard in the audio.

    when ripping the audio in dvd2avi i used the follwoing options:
    48 -> 44.1 (Ultrahigh)
    and
    Decode Dolby Surround Downmix.

    can anyone please help me with this problem?

    thanks

    Kinda weird. Try to play the WAV file that DVD2AVI generated for you and see if the "buzz" is there as well. If it is, try tweaking the audio settings and create new WAV (yeah, you don't have to wait 11hrs for TMPGEnc to finish to test it :) and see if anything helps -- and as always, I'm interested to hear of your results as our guides are "live" and are tweaked almost weekly.
