Discussion in 'MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 encoding (AVI to DVD)' started by cspud, Jul 2, 2002.
Okay lots of answers to lots of questions, but...can you convert a .avi file to a VCD format?
Follow the (excellent) article on DVD to VCD Ripping if the file is a DVD2AVI created .avi and TMPGEnc will encode it into MPEG1, then run it to VideoCD PAL Format, which you need Nero (or others) to burn onto CDR. Video CDs need to be MPEG-1 (PAL) in UK. Hope this helps.
It really would help to read through the forum posts (or to use the search messages feature) or at least visit our guide section first...
