Convert computer movies to cd for dvd

    Can anyone tell me how to put movies on a cd. I have downloaded movies and can watch them on the computer but I just dont know how to convert them to a cd to watch them on dvd

    Firstly, what format did you download them in.

    Secondly, if your stand-alone dvd player plays VCDs encode the file to mpeg-1 VideoCD (PAL or NTSC) with TMPGEnc which can be downloaded from the software section of this site. Then burn it to Video CD with Nero.

    I really dont know what format I downloaded them. I very new at this. I did download them on Kazaa if that helps? If not can u tell me what do u mean by format?

    He means the file extension man! what type of file is it? MPG? avi? asf?

    Well skins38 if I knew all that I wouldnt be asking questions now would I. I have noticed alot of smart comments from people on here. If u dont want to help, please just mind your business cause I dont need your comments. Now as for the format I have downloaded movies in different formats I believe. I have some in avi and mpg

    Ok, well to play on a DVD player the movie has to be an mpg mode 1 or 2. If your file is AVI then you'll have to convert it to mpg using TMPGenc.

    Once you have your mpg's use Nero to create a VCD, and that's it.

    If nero asks you to re-encode a file, that means it's not the right format. But don't use NERO to re-emcode cause it's shite. Use TMPGenc.
