    A bin/cue is just a CD/DVD image. I guess you are talking (X)(S)VCD though?

    Thanks for your reply, but I'm afraid I don't understand it.
    I have downloaded bin/cue files that are films. I have software that will write these files to a cd-rom disc that I can play on my front room DVD Player.
    I want to convert these files to some format (*avi??) so that I can then convert to DivX. Then I can put 6 or 7 films on a DVD disc

    Thanks

    What I am saying is that a BIN/CUE is just a disc image. It could contain anything. If once burnt it plays on a standard DVD player, then as I said it would be an (X)(S)VCD.

    Use something like VCDGear to extract the video as an mpg. Then you can convert the same as a regular mpg*.

    * (X)SVCD's use MPEG-2.
