Converting Cbr to Vbr?

Sorry to have to start yet another thread, but i have been searching these forums and google, and i couldnt find much on converting Cbr audio from DivX AVI into Vbr Audio. I need this, because my DivX DVD standalone player, plays Cbr out of sync. So can someone provide me with a link step-by-step guide or post one.

i think the audio, the most commonly used, mp3.
so demux that or decode to wav.
then get dbpoweramp.
encode to mp3(lame)
use alt preset extreme

 

i managed to fix the settings on my player, so it will play both now. Thanks anyway for your help. I really like the work u guys have put into this site, its really great

What player are/were you using?

I seem to be having the same issue with a Philips DVP642 and was wondering what you did to fix it.

I have a Rowa Player, its just this Australian compnay, i think. I just had a look at the settings, and changed the digital output from None to PCM. It works like a gem
