    Hi All,
I'm hoping someone knows the answer to this. I have compressed a couple of dvd's (pal) using DVD shrink and Burned with DVD decrypter. Works perfectly.

I have transfered the iso file from DVD shrink to my friend in America. She also burned the file using DVD decrypter.

Audio is perfect but the video is just rolling across the screen. I'm assuming its because of the pal/ ntcs systems
Her dvd player is supposed to be able to play both pal & ntcs also if she tries to play it in her pc she just gets unknown format

Any ideas how we can get round this

    Thanks

    Regards Anne

    Hi,

Some televisions can't play PAL format so, as you've already surmised, your friend will most likely need to convert the films to NTSC.

If you run a forum search for "pal to ntsc" you'll find a wealth of information on not only how to do so but troubleshooting tips as well. Pay special attention to posts by a fellow by the nick of Minion :)
